For 18 years, local artist Rodrigo Zuloaga has used painting as a means of expression. His experience includes 2 years of individual classes with Maestro Jose Barbosa studying the style of the great impressionists, followed by travel to Italy to learn classical art at L.A.B.A. Art Academy in Florence. Back in the city of Guadalajara and his painting studio, Rodrigo made radical changes to take a new path to abstract art. He found that Lake Chapala brought a great amount of creativity and inspiration and decided to make Ajijic home, residing there since 2011. He was born to be an artist and his work and life go hand in hand, creating art through energy and heart.
Veronica Navarro moved to the beautiful Lake Chapala area from Guadalajara in 2008 where she worked in the medical field as a manager with a major national laboratory. She began her current real estate career working as a rental manager but soon moved on specializing in sales. She greatly enjoys meeting and working with people; many of who have become great friends. She has always enjoyed art and creativity and has been Director of Studio 18 Gallery since 2010.
Jeri Van Dyke left Napa, California for Ajijic in 2014. With 18 years experience in the wine industry focusing on hospitality and event management, she found herself looking for an opportunity to bring wine and art together. With Maestro Rodrigo and art gallery director, Veronica Navarro, they formed the perfect partnership to present "Sip & Sketch" to Lakeside residents who enjoy a nice afternoon of art, wine and friendship.
